Dr. Masaru Emoto is a pioneering Japanese researcher. He wrote a little book called The Hidden Messages of Water. His findings were discussed in the documentary What the Bleep Do We Know. What Dr. Emoto discovered was that thoughts and feelings alter the molecular structure of water. He conducted a series of experiments to see what effects the spoken and written word has on water. He taped a piece of paper with the words “You make me sick, I will kill you” to one glass of water, and on another glass the words “Love and Thanks.” The water was frozen and the crystals analyzed. You can see the results for yourself: http://www.all-water.org/Emoto.html.
The late Michael Talbot began his career as a science fiction writer. He emphasized the similarities between quantum physics and ancient mysticism. He authored the book, The Holographic Universe. Similar to Dr. Emoto conclusions, Talbot’s also suggest that the universe is always mirroring our thoughts and beliefs back to us. The Holographic Universe received little or no mention from the mainstream scientific community.
Dr. Bruce Lipton is a cell biologist. Lipton’s research focuses on how cells behave according to the thought messages they receive. We have become accustomed to thinking that our DNA is fixed and unalterable. But Lipton’s research suggests otherwise. We can alter our DNA with our thoughts and beliefs (which, by the way, many of us knew long before Lipton’s research). Lipton was ostracized, marginalized and ignored by his colleagues. He eventually resigned his position at The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. Today he is known for his pioneering research on the impact that the emotions of “love” and “fear” have on the health of our cells.
All of this research corroborating the idea that we do in fact create our reality is certainly a breath of fresh air. But I hope that we do not take this idea as a passing fad. In many ways, people think that shifting consciousness is a fad, a new age one, like fusion cuisine, online dating or stitching n bitching. But the idea that we create our reality transcends fads. It is next to impossible that those who discover and experience the relationship between their thoughts/beliefs and their day-to-day experiences are going to pass off this unprecedented empowerment as just another form of popular culture.
First, here is what we know: We are energetically identical to the universe. In other words, we are composed of the same energy as the universe. The only difference is that we are expressing that energy in a unique physical form, the human body. The vibratory rate of the energy that the human form is composed of is slowed down so that it becomes visible to our physical eyes. We are always, although unconsciously, commanding this energy with our thoughts and emotions, which is like the fuel of the creation process. Source, or the Universe, or God or now, The Unified Field of Consciousness is an eternal, intelligent energy whose frequency vibrates at the rate of the emotion of love. This Source can provide the energy, free of charge, to make an idea or desire a physical reality.
This is another way of saying that we have access to the energy that can clean up the earth’s oceans, lakes and rivers. We have access to the energy that can eradicate sickness and disease, to create a planet free of war and conflict, to ensure that every man, woman and child on this planet has clothing and environmentally sustainable shelter. We have the power to create businesses whose bottom line is the joy and well-being of all life on this planet, including the planet itself.
This new research is welcomed, but it must be augmented with our own experience that there is indeed a relationship between our thoughts/beliefs and our experiences. We must, each and every one of us, know, beyond a shadow of doubt, that we are in fact the Source expressing in physical form. We have as a human collective created the world that we are living in. With an awakened consciousness, we can create another.
The shift in consciousness is not a fad. We do indeed have access to the energy that created this magnificent universe. All that is required to create a new world is for each and every one of us to become aware of the thoughts and beliefs that are making the life experience on this planet what it is today. We may grow bored with New Orleans Cajun Vietnamese shrimp, but I cannot imagine anyone growing bored with the power that will create a new earth. This is what has been on my mind to say this month.
This month’s blog spot is a reprint of an article by Cal Garrison. I found this article in a post from the “Shift Doctors” who I follow on Twitter. After reading the article, I contacted Cal to tell her how much I enjoyed it. When I asked her if I could reprint the article, she said she had no idea anyone would be interested in it. The article reminds me of the teachings of A Course of Love. Like ACOL, the article spoke to my heart. Enjoy!
