Happy Spring and welcome to the May/June 2016 edition of the Shift in Consciousness Ezine. I have been just a tad bit anxious to create this issue. In between creating the editions of the ezine and the workplace blog, I read a lot of information from others’ blogs, and I am almost always inspired by the energy and creativity that goes into them and the alternative to mainstream media’s perspectives that they offer. An alternative perspective is what I would like to explore in this edition–an alternative perspective on money or what we are shifting to refer to as abundance.

In the Guest Blog Spot is the introduction to a book that I am reading What Comes After Money: Essays from Reality Sandwich on Transforming Currency & Community, edited by Daniel Pinchbeck and Ken Jordon. Reality Sandwich is a site that has become one of my resources for alternative perspectives and for staying informed on current dialogues about the creation of a new story.

In Science & the Sacred are some of my favorite folks in the creation of the new story, Sustainable Man, “We Need a New Economy.” If you have not heard about this project, have a look. It’s impressive. In Food & Art is “Perennial Abundance” sharing how two permaculture enthusiasts turned their 1/10th of an acre yard into a 200 food plant urban oasis. Truly inspirational. Finally in Habitat & Living is an article by Sharon Gannon, also from Reality Sandwich, “Yoga and Money.” Now don’t go thinking that there is an asana that is going to bring you instant wealth. Quick fixes, an American addiction, is not where Gannon is coming from. She explores the Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali, a 2000-year-old sacred text, among other sources, to answer some of our deepest concerns about money and abundance.

On a side note, for those of you who are familiar with the dialogue about twin flames, a conversation that was started and sustained by a woman who was affectionately known as Liora. She transitioned on April 4, 2016. Most of all that I know about twin flames and twin flame relationships comes from Liora and the numerous videos that she shared on YouTube. I hope her transition was full of light and love.

Now don’t forget about the real-time bio’s, the quote (in the sidebar) and the featured video. I hope that you enjoy this edition as much as I enjoyed creating it. Remember, there has never been a better time to create your life experience anew. The Universe is, and remains, eternally on everybody’s side!

In preparation for this dialogue, I thought I would begin by doing a little research on the top trends on Google search. Someone mentioned to me some years ago that money and sex received the most search hits on Google. Actually it’s sex first, then money.
