Welcome to the November/December, 2016 edition of the Shift In Consciousness Ezine. We are on a fast moving current into 2017! I feel as if I’ve lived 2016 in 6 months. Abraham, a collective consciousness channeled through Esther Hicks, says that the energy current’s speed is in response to our “asking.” The current brings with it the component parts in the fulfillment of our desires. The manifestation of desire is always beyond what anyone could have imagined or create on their own. That’s another way of saying, at the speed that we’re creating our lives anew, you might want to get yourself another seatbelt.

“Metaphysics in Parting Words” is My Focus for this month. This is the final publication of the ezine. I’ve decided to integrate and expand three publications: this ezine, the Transformaing the American Workplace blog and the Ascensions, Resurrections, Shifts and Transformations blog. The time is appropriate, and I’m ready to deepen and expand my role in the creation of the New Earth.  You can look for the new, quarterly, publication sometime in the spring of 2017.

The rest of this edition is devoted to the shift that is hitting the fan.

The Guest Blog Spot is devoted to Standing Rock. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Standing Rock, this is the site of the largest protest that Indigenous Americans have waged in modern history. The first link will give you some background information about the protest against the construction of the pipeline on the Sioux reservation in North Dakota. The second link comes from Reality Sandwich who conducted a series of interviews with Standing Rock protesters. For those of you who are familiar with the history of the Indigenous of the United States, you know that the construction of the pipeline is only a continuation of the cycle of broken treaties and violations of Indigenous sovereignty.

In Science & the Sacred is Charles Eisenstein and a selection from his first book, The Ascent of Humanity, “The Scientific Method.” As always, Eisenstein has a lucid and heartfelt vision of what is possible, while maintaining an understanding of the tragedies of so-called civilization and their impact on our everyday lives.

Food & Art takes a look at an expanding art form, shrines and memorials in honor of crime victims. Of course, the erection of shrines is not new; recall the flowers, photos and memorabilia that was placed outside of Buckingham Palace for Diana, or for Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, etc.  Similar memorials grace the highways on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. But this new expression specifically focuses on recognizing and memorializing and making known those who have been victims of gun violence in our communities. This link is to the blog of Lloyd Wolf who takes a look at street shrines and memorials in Washington, DC.

Finally in Habitation & Living is an article for anyone who is interested in beekeeping. It seems that backyard beekeeping in the city is doable!

Don’t forget about our real-times bios, and because we are at the end of the year, I have my list of people who have influenced my year.

I appreciate the power that comes of sharing ideas and thoughts, and I hope that you will continue to tune in, in the spring for the new publication. Have a safe and peaceful holiday and an outrageously joy-filled 2017.
